Akai has launched the Akai APC Key 25 and Akai APC Mini for Abelton Live (2022 – 2023 Models) These can be considered as a combined mini version of its flagship Akai APC 40 and MPK Mini.

The Akai APC Key 25 is a compact controller that features 25 velocity-sensitive keys, 8 drum pads, and a variety of control knobs and buttons. It also has a built-in arpeggiator and a number of other performance-oriented features that make it great for live performances.
  • Built-in 25-note synthesizer keyboard and specific octave up and down buttons to extend the keyboard’s range to its full melodic range.
  • Includes Ableton Live Lite an outstanding DAW for Mac and PC to record live performances, ideas, music and unleash your creativity.
  • 40 RGB pads on a vibrant 5×8 RGB pad matrix is used to launch clips in Ableton Live and provide visible color feedback for triggering loops, vocals, and melodic samples.
  • 2 Octaves of velocity-sensitive keys on 25 responsive mini keys allow for powerful live performance and studio composition with plugins. Play synth leads, basslines, chords, and other studio instruments.
  • 8 Assignable Rotary Knobs – Use the 360 knob controls to adjust the volume or pan, insert sends for effects, and automate tracks. Use Device mode for direct control of your Ableton macros.
  • Directional arrow buttons helps to quickly access your loops, samples, and sounds, navigate left and right between tracks or up and down through scenes.
  • The APC Key 25 MK2 is powered by USB and enables plug-and-play connectivity, enabling hassle-free integration between the studio and the stage for Mac and PC without the use of batteries or power adapters.
  • A vast collection of virtual instruments are free including Velvet – vintage electric piano instrument, Mini Grand – acoustic piano instrument and Hybrid 3 – powerful polyphonic analog synth.
The Akai APC Mini Mk2 is a smaller controller that is designed to be portable and easy to use. It has 8 drum pads, a variety of control knobs and buttons, and a built-in arpeggiator. It also has a Clip Launch Matrix, which allows you to trigger and arrange clips in Ableton Live in real time.
