When Chai Met Toast band has started recording their new EP in UK with Richard Wilkinson at the Legendrary Rak Studios.
The 4 piece Multilingual band from kochi has been very active in Indian music scene from 2016.
Lead singer Ashwin Gopakumar, guitarist Achyuth Jaigopal, pianist Palee Francis, and drummer Pai Sailesh make up the band’s line-up. The group is renowned for its Happy and Lighthearted music, which they write in English and Hindi and occasionally incorporates lyrics in Tamil and Malayalam.
When Chai Met Toast routinely plays live shows and music festivals in India, such as the Red Bull Tour Bus, OnePlus Music Festival, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, and SulaFest.
The group has released two EPs and a number of singles, and Spotify’s RADAR programme has named them an emerging artist. Their track Break Free’s music video was recognised as one of the top 50 hit videos on VH1 India. They also created the music for the 2018 web series Die Trying by comedian Kenny Sebastian.

Richard Wilkinson is a producer, mixer, writer, and engineer based in London. Throughout his career, he has collaborated in the studio with a variety of artists, including up-and-coming talent like RHYS LEWIS, VIOLET SKIES, FIL BO RIVA, RAE MORRIS, and LUZ as well as renowned legends like AMY WINEHOUSE, MICHAEL JACKSON, NEIL FINN, and BOMBAY
The recording and mixing of the classic ADELE album “19,” tracks from the debut albums of BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB and THE WHIP, recording the critically acclaimed debut album of Australia’s VAN SHE, production, mixing, and writing work with KAISER CHIEFS, production and mixing on Honne’s debut EPs and album, and production of LIANNE LA HAVAS’ “Is Your Love” are just a few of the projects that stand out from the past ten years.
Recent projects include mixing and producing LEWIS WATSON’s third album, mixing with additional production on RHYS LEWIS’ second EP and debut album for Decca Records, mixing for new artist VIOLET SKIES, mixing for Copenhagen Records’ ALEX VARGAS, mixing for RIKAS, and writing with FIL BO RIVA, FLYNN, ANDREAS VEY, and HENNING MAY with CHARLES CAVE (WHITE LIES).

RAK Studios, is a recording studio complex with residential facilities, which is situated close to Regent’s Park in the heart of London, United Kingdom. Mickie Most, an English record producer, started it in 1976.
Rak Studios Charges £1200 per 10-hour day (1.15 Lakh Rupees)
RAK has four studios for recording. API mixing consoles are found in Studios 1 and 2, a vintage Neve VRP Legend console is found in Studio 3 (it was previously located in Studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios), and an SSL 4056 console in Studio 4.
